Timothy L. Calderwood

Tim practices real estate in the firm’s Charleston office. He focuses his practice on foreclosures and bankruptcy. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2021.

Tim was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He attended Kent State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and graduating Summa Cum Laude. Tim then attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor.

While at tOSU Law, Tim focused on real estate and environmental law. He clerked with Smith & Hale, LLC working on various real estate matters involving land use and development. Additionally, he was the developing editor for the Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society and Treasurer for the Environmental Law Society. 

After graduating and passing the Bar in 2020, Tim moved to Charleston, SC to start his legal career and to be closer to family. Over the last few years Tim has mainly practiced as a real estate attorney, covering a full range of services, including attorney closing services, consumer collections, creditors’ rights matters, foreclosure proceedings, litigation support, and REO services. Outside of real estate, Tim also has proven success in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, family, and immigration law, representing his clients fearlessly in and out of the courtroom to ensure they receive the best outcome.

When not in the office, Tim enjoys spending his time watching Ohio sports, being outdoors with his dogs, and helping out in the community.
