Mr. Shook is a native of South Carolina and is a member attorney in the Charleston office of Finkel Law Firm LLC, LLC. Prior to pursuing a legal career, he served the U.S. Navy in a variety of capacities. Mr. Shook is a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College, The University of South Carolina, and The University of South Carolina School of Law.
Accolades & Publications
While in law school Mr. Shook received the CALI award (formerly the American Jurisprudence Award) in Corporate Tax, was Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal, and was a student member of the John Belton O'Neill Inn of Court and Phi Delta Phi.
He authored Ninth Circuit Rejects Narrow Interpretation of "Responsible Corporate Officer," published as a note in the Spring 1999 edition of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal, and The Submarine War in the Pacific, published in the Spring 1996 edition of the War Studies Journal, King's College, London.
His Legal Focus
Mr. Shook is admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the Charleston County Bar, and is a member of the Real Estate Practices Section. He has appeared on numerous panels, authored several continuing education programs, and has been a past participant on the faculty of the South Carolina Master in Equity's Bench/Bar and the South Carolina Bar's "Law School for Non-Lawyers." Mr. Shook primarily practices in the area of both commercial and residential foreclosure and real estate.
